Overcome pain without medication: It is all in your head.

If you suffer from chronic pain this is for you. If you have
a large bottle of Ibuprofen and a Maalox chaser on your desk at work, on your
coffee table at home and in your car then this is for you. Have you been
prescribed heavy duty pain pills that make you unable to drive or work or enjoy
your life? Then this may be able to help you.
You have repeatedly seen doctors and nothing is seriously wrong with you
other than this horrible pain that will not leave you alone. You may have
become depressed or had relationship problems due to your chronic pain. You have found your hope and your help.
I had never been diagnosed with High Blood Pressure but as
it turns out my head hurts when I get to 136/90. This is in the normal range
but for me it produces headaches. Also I am very sensitive to salt. Salt makes
my blood pressure go up and gives me a headache.
So make sure that you do not have high blood pressure,
diabetes or any other conditions that could cause headaches. If you have been
through the whole doctor experience and are left with just a drawer full of
pain killers then you have found your relief.
The first thing that you need to do is realize that you can
control your pain. Stay with me here. Yes, I am saying that the pain in your
head is in your head. “Yes, it is in my head that is where it hurts” you say.
But what I am saying is that it is in your head. Not that you are imagining it. Your pain is
real enough but your mind can control your pain in fact it may be causing your
pain. Why do I know this? I have lived it and recovered from 45 years of
debilitating migraine headaches. Most migraine suffers will tell you that the
medicine does not really work it just dulls it or makes you unconscious. All
pain killers have major side effects that can cause more pain and even death. I
challenge you to go on the website of your pain medications and find out what
the side effects are. Chances are one of the side effects are headaches. I was
told this but did not believe it until I looked it up for myself. My head ache
medicine was causing my head aches. After this discovery I felt that I had no
choice but to find an alternative to medication to deal with my pain.
My sister in law recently passed away from what the doctors
considered a pain medicine over dose. The dose in her system was well within
the recommended dosage and she did not survive it. So, remember that doctors
are not always right for everyone. Another example of doctors meaning well but
being wrong is our friend David Davidson. He was hit by a car doing a good deed
and was told that he would be a quadriplegic. I saw him 5 years ago and he had
a ventilator to breath and no movement in his arms or legs but he believed God
not the Doctors and he walked through my door last week with full movement and
his mind intact. Greater challenges than pain have been overcome with the mind
and prayer.
“Sounds good but how do
you do it?” Let’s get to the details. You have two sides to your pain: dealing
with the pain itself and then separately the prevention of it. We will start
with the pain itself and then go to the prevention since you may be in pain
right now.
Step one: accepting and realizing that you control your
pain. Your mind and your thoughts can start and stop your pain. Proverbs 23:7
“A man thinks and so he is.” In other words what you think you are and what you
think you will become you will become.

Step two: Realize that you have 2 minds: The Natural and the
Spiritual. Your Natural is the physical body and your most basic nature. Freud
called it the Id. Your Id wants to control everything. Think of a 2 year old.
She wants what she wants and she wants it now. She will bite and scratch and
cry and do whatever she can think of to get what she wants. This is how our Id
really wants to behave. Our Spiritual Mind is pure love and is what God sees in
us. It is all that is calm and good and true in us. It is quiet and secure and
comfortable because your spirit is still connected with the creator. Our
Natural (Logical) mind tries to drown out the Natural Mind to gain complete
control. It wants all the attention and doesn’t want to give or help anyone but
itself. Your charity and caring for others comes from your Spiritual Mind.
Your Spiritual Mind has the ability to watch the Natural
Mind and the Natural Body. To access this Spiritual Mind is simple but takes a
little practice. The Spiritual Mind lives only in the Present Moment. Take a
moment to do an exercise. Focus on this present moment the point between past
and future. This is difficult at first because most of us have not been taught
anything about the present. We have been taught to live in memories about the
past and fears or hopes for the future. Let us focus on the present, no fretting
about the past and no worrying about the future. You will realize that in the
exact present moment nothing is wrong, everything feels fine and you are at
ease. This happens because you are accessing your Spiritual Self. You are your
Spiritual Self in the Present moment.
Just like God has no past or future he just is. So is your Spirit. It
knows no time. Only your Natural self knows time. Your Spiritual Self feels no
pain. Now as your Spiritual Self in the present moment you have no stress, no
problems, and no pain, everything is as it is meant to be. Your Spiritual Self watches the Natural self
and watches the pain body. One of the methods of the Natural Self to gain all
control is through pain.
Step 3: As your Spiritual Self watches the pain in your
Natural self your pain will dissipate and disappear. Focus your Spiritual
mind’s eye on the pain. Where is the pain in your body? If it is in your head
then where exactly is it? With your eyes closed focus your Spiritual Mind’s eye
on the pain until you pin point it. One you see it let it be what it wants to
be but let it know that you see it. “ I can see you “ I say to it. It is like a
child who steals a cookie it doesn’t want to be caught and looked upon. After a few moments watching the pain it will
dissipate and disappear. Your pain will
disappear like it was never there. You will feel a lightness, a sense of quiet
Euphoria and you will know that your pain is gone.
It may come back a few seconds later. Remember that the
Natural Mind is nothing more than the 2 year old, that “Id” part of you. Any
mother knows that 2 year olds do not give up control easily until they realize
that there is no point. I really believed that my Mom had eyes in the back of
her head when I was little. It became pointless because I knew she could
somehow see me. Watch the Natural Pain Body like a 2 year old having a tantrum.
You will stay quiet and calm simply watching until she gives up and quits. You may need to repeat this focus step many
times at first. You will be able to locate the pain quicker as you practice.
Eventually your pain will give up and leave you alone altogether. Using this
method I have not had a headache now in 4 years. At first I had to use it all
day for the first week or two. Then as I grew more confident that I could get
rid of the pain it became less frequent. Eventually I would laugh at it and
tell it with joy that I saw it and poof it would disappear. This took about a
couple of months and together with prevention steps that I still practice to
this day I have been 100% head ache free for 4 years this September.
